James Thanasules was with First American Title Insurance Company for 19 years, most recently as Vice President and Senior Underwriting Counsel for the New York Agency Division. James began his title career from the ground up, involved in production, sales, claims and underwriting, both on the Direct and Agency sides. James’ extensive Agency experience offers a unique perspective. He understands the interplay between agent and underwriter; the need for responsiveness and sound decisions; and working together to achieve a common goal. James has presented CLEs and CEs on a wide variety of hot topics, including Claims, Short Sales and Reverse Mortgages. He also provides training courses for agents and the NYSLTA. James’ background includes private practice, finance and advertising.

Jinat has worked for over 20 years in the title insurance industry in various capacities including overseeing departments in title production and claims. Ms. Rahman specializes in all aspects of policy production, closing and post-closing matters. Over the last two decades, her experience improving efficiencies and overseeing residential and commercial transactions for Fidelity National Title, Stewart Title and some of the largest agents in New York has led to her current role as the corporate relations manager for AmTrust’s NY agents with responsibilities including onboarding new agents, resolving agent production issues and general corporate matters.

As the AmTrust Title Insurance Company expands operations into the Carolinas, Mark Hungate, a twenty-year veteran of the title and mortgage industry has joined the company as regional sales representative. Based in North Carolina, Mark will focus on business development, customer service, and operations. Before joining AmTrust, Mark held senior positions in varied title and mortgage companies, including independent title agencies, mortgage insurance firms, a nationwide appraisal management company, and a default management services company. Most recently he was employed with the North American Title Insurance Company. His multiple memberships include both the North Carolina and South Carolina Land Title Associations, as well as the Texas and Carolina’s Bankers Association. Mark is also a committee member of MICA, HASP, and HARP. Mark earned a Bachelor of Science degree from West Virginia University.
